The mind is just as much an object of perception as any object it perceives in the external world. The mind is not self-luminous, that is to say, it is not a light-giver, like the sun, but a light-reflector, like the moon.


我々が「自分」だと考えている「心」は、知覚の主体であると同時に客体です。


「心」が、知覚するもの⇆知覚されるもの、というdualityのシバリ(片方がないともう片方は存在出来ない)にとらわれない自立した自由な存在である、という感覚は誤りで、「心」もやっぱり他の事象と同じように、存在するために「知覚してもらう」必要があります。


つまり「心」は我々が思うところの「自分」ではなく、真の主体は別のところにあると考えるべきです。
